I think that this quote means that, you should not follow the path that someone else made. You should follow your own path and live it the way you want to live it. Don’t live someone else’s life, when you have your life full of adventures and choices of your own.

I think this quote means that whenever you think there is no hope left, you just have to go in search for it. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t means it’s not there. That’s why Matthew use the sun as an example.
